Mark is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience in patent prosecution in the United States and internationally. His practice focuses primarily on advising clients with respect to patent, trademark, copyright, and other intellectual property rights and securing and maintaining protection of those rights. He also provides advice and opinions on patentability, validity, and infringement of patents, as well as the availability and registration of trademarks. Mark represents clients across a wide variety of industries, including electrical, computer, software, engineering, bio-tech, sporting goods, toy, and a wide variety of manufacturing companies.
Mark received undergraduate degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri – Columbia, and earned his JD degree, cum laude, from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 2000. Prior to entering the practice of law, Mark worked as an electrical engineer in the aviation and industrial equipment industries, developing hardware, software, and communications protocols. Mark is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, is a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bars, and is admitted in the United States District Courts for the Western District of Missouri and the District of Kansas.
