August 5, 2025

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and dear friend, Bill Kircher.

Bill joined our firm in 2019 and, in a short time, made a meaningful impact through his wit, professionalism, and collaborative spirit, and quickly became a cherished colleague and friend. In his practice, he was an outstanding intellectual property attorney and a vigorous advocate for our clients.

For more than 50 years, Bill was a trusted adviser assisting clients in national and international intellectual property matters. His experience included litigation, licensing, application drafting, prosecution, and counseling. His passion was serving his clients, being with his family, flyfishing in Montana, and his raved support for all things Mizzou.

Beyond his professional contributions, Bill will be remembered for his kindness, sincerity, and integrity. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Bill.

Bill has more than 50 years of experience assisting clients in national and international intellectual property matters.  His experience includes litigation, licensing, application drafting, prosecution, and counseling.

Bill is involved in the American Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Lawyers Association of Kansas City where he served as the President of the Young Lawyers Section. He has also served as the Dean of Engineering Advisory Council for his alma mater, the University of Missouri-Columbia.
